We are now recruiting undergraduates to volunteer as classroom assistants. This will ideally suit students who are competent mathematicians following a degree course. Undergraduates ultimately thinking about a career working with children will find this particularly beneficial.
Much more important than this is your ability to engage with children and to motivate them to fulfil their potential. You will support them in their work but you will also be their role model: One of the key aims of our project is to raise aspirations of disadvantaged students and improve their access to further education. You will be instrumental in this.
Minimum commitment to the project is five consecutive Saturday mornings.
