We offer a unique opportunity to our local upper sixth form students who want to experience working in a professional environment. As classroom volunteers, you will have an opportunity to work with our team and with the children on our courses.
With a focus on supporting their Maths learning, you will also become their mentor – guiding them, encouraging them and building their self-esteem. You need to be a competent Mathematician following a Maths or Science related qualification to ‘A’ level or equivalent.
Equally important is your ability to interact with children and to enjoy making a difference to their education. Your application will need to be supported by two references from your school or college and you will be required to write a brief personal statement and attend an interview.
Minimum commitment to the project is five consecutive Saturday mornings.
